On Thursday, the GT Association (GTA), promoter of the Autobacs Super GT Series, announced an update to the 2019 season schedule that was originally announced on 26 July.
The season-ending race at Twin Ring Motegi, originally scheduled for the weekend of 9-10 November 2019, has been moved forward one week to 2-3 November. The change is made to avoid a clash of dates with the FIA World Endurance Championship 4 Hours of Shanghai, that takes place on 10 November.
It will also avoid a direct domestic clash with the Pirelli Super Taikyu Series, which holds its final round of the 2019 season at Okayama International Circuit on 10 November.
All other dates and rounds remain the same.
Three official tests were announced for 2019, including two pre-season tests in the month of March, taking place on 16-17 March at Okayama International Circuit, and 30-31 March at Fuji Speedway. There will also be an in-season test on 10-11 August at Sportsland Sugo, one week after the Fuji GT 500 Mile Race on 4 August.
