2017 European Le Mans Series LMP3 champion Sean Rayhall has announced his retirement from racing ahead of the 2019 season.
The American, who spent part of 2018 racing with United Autosports in the ELMS, and the competed in IMSA’s GTD class throughout the year with HART and 3GT Racing, cited the “pressure and lifestyle” that comes with working in motorsport as the reason for him stepping away.

His statement reads:
“I am hanging up my helmet and stepping away from racing completely. I have been blessed with the opportunities I was given and the amazing team members I had stand beside me.
“Unfortunately, I’ve reached a point in my life that the lifestyle and pressure that comes with motorsport isn’t for me. I’m really happy to be starting a new chapter in my life in a different type of industry January 1st.
“I want to thank everyone that has supported me in the community, all my friends who has been there for me through this decision, and wish everyone a great 2019 season.
