(Updated) Sebring 12 Hours Likely To Start Behind Safety Car

Rain continues to fall trackside

UPDATE: The clock is ticking and the race has indeed started under safety car conditions.

The 2019 running of the Sebring 12 Hours looks set to start under yellow flag conditions.

Last night’s weather front that affected the end of the FIA WEC 1000-mile race has continued, with rain continuing to come down throughout the morning. Conditions are not due to clear up until past midday, according to many weather reports.

The organisers will assess the circuit during the formation laps, “the race is likely to start under yellow, single file behind the safety car”, an IMSA representative told the media.
