DragonSpeed BR1 Gibson To Race In Gulf Livery

LMP1 swan song for US-flagged team to feature iconic colours

Yet another special livery for the 2019 Le Mans 24 Hours will appear this morning at the Place de la Republique as the #10 DragonSpeed BR1 Gibson LMP1 arrives at Scrutineering in full Gulf Oils livery.

The car will feature a tribute on the ‘shark’ fin to the three Gulf-liveried cars to win the Le Mans 24 Hours overall in 1968, 1969 and 1975.

The change in colours from the team’s regular ’10 Star’ livery marks the final appearance for DragonSpeed in LMP1 and, for now at least, as a full season FIA WEC entry, though one of the team’s pair of ORECA 07 Gibsons is set to contest selected races in the coming season.

Henrik Hedman, Renger van der Zande and Ben Hanley will race the #10 car.
