Team LNT will roll out both of their planned full-season Ginetta AER G60-LT-P1 cars for the FIA WEC Prologue at Barcelona this week powered by the latest generation AER P60C engines.
Joining Ginetta factory drivers Mike Simpson (car #6) and Charlie Robertson (car #5) at the test, who have both played leading roles in the development testing of the car, will be a number of other drivers, bringing extensive LMP1, and LMP2 experience and success:
Mathias Beche: 2018 Le Mans 24 Hours podium sitter, 2018 Silverstone WEC overall race winner.
Egor Orudzhev: Formula Renault V8 race winner, ELMS LMP2 race winner, WEC overall podium finisher, Only driver to out-qualify a Toyota driver in a non-hybrid LMP1 car.
Stephane Richelmi: Le Mans 24 Hours LMP2 winner, FIA WEC and Asian Le Mans Series LMP2 Champion.
Luca Ghiotto: GP3, GP2 and F2 Race winner.
Stephane Sarrazin: Le Mans Series double Champion, multiple Le Mans overall and class podium sitter, ex-Formula One & World Rally Championship, ex Toyota and Peugeot LMP1 factory driver.
Guy Smith: 2003 Le Mans 24 Hours overall race winner, Bentley factory driver and 2011 American Le Mans Series Champion.
The team are also in advanced negotiations with other drivers around potential drives for the coming season, some of whom have already sampled the Ginetta in pre-season testing.
There will be no announcement in Barcelona of the team’s driver line-ups for Silverstone and beyond.
Assisting the team at Barcelona are Algarve Pro Racing, engineering and technical support from the Portugal-based outfit, staying on after their efforts in the ELMS yesterday, being utilised in addition to Ginetta factory engineering support to aid Team LNT’s transition to a two-car LMP1 effort here for the first time.
