Glynn Geddie put the #7 Team Parker Bentley top of the GT3 timing sheets in the second Brands Hatch British GT free-practice session of the weekend.
The Scotsman’s best effort was a 1:25.827, a little over a tenth clear of next-fastest man Phil Keen in the #72 Barwell Lamborghini, who set a 1:25.928.
Third-fastest was another Lamborghini, the #18 WPI Motorsport machine of Dennis Lind and Michael Igoe, while Rob Bell slotted into fourth in the #22 Balfe McLaren.
Fifth and sixth places in the session went to Jonny Cocker (a 1:26.157 in the #69 Barwell Lamborghini) and Tom Onslow-Cole (a 1:26.161 in the Abba Racing Mercedes).
GT4 was topped by the Ash Hand/Tom Canning TF Sport Aston, on a 1:32.801, ahead of the #75 Optimum Motorsport Aston of Patrik Matthiesen/Mike Robinson (1:33.130) and the #88 GT Marques Porsche, in which Dino Zamparelli set a 1:33.369.
The #95 Patrick Kibble/Josh Price TF Sport Aston, the #66 Nick Jones/Scott Malvern Team Parker Mercedes and the #20 Graham Johnson/Michael O’Brien Balfe McLaren lined up third to sixth at the end of the session.
The session was interrupted by a red flag part-way through when Mark Farmer found the gravel at Paddock Hill Bend in the #2 TF Sport Aston Martin.
Qualifying follows later this afternoon, with GT3 getting underway at 4:30 pm and GT4 at two minutes before 5 pm.
