Graham Davidson set a 1:26.999 in the #47 Aston Martin to go fastest in Sunday morning’s British GT warm-up session at Brands Hatch, which was cut short when his TF Sport team-mate Mark Farmer got stuck in the gravel at Hawthorns with about two minutes of the session remaining.
Most teams elected to send their Am drivers out in the session for some more track time ahead of the afternoon’s two-hour race: Barwell Lamborghini man Sam de Haan was second-fastest in the #69 on a 1:27.784, ahead of his team-mate Adam Balon in the #72, who set a 1:27.922.
Ian Loggie went round in 1:27.947 to go fourth-fastest in the Ram Racing Mercedes that topped Saturday’s Pro qualifying session in the hands of Calum Macleod, while Michael Igoe was fifth-quickest in the WPI Lamborghini and Andrew Howard rounded out the top six in the Beechdean Aston.
Fastest GT4 time in warm-up was set by Lewis Proctor in the #5 Tolman McLaren (a 1:34.239), with Jack Roush Jr second-quickest on a 1:34.400 in the #19 Multimatic Mustang, which he’s co-driving this weekend with motoring journalist Richard Meaden.
The other Multimatic Mustang was third-fastest in the hands of GT4 championship leader Scott Maxwell, who managed a 1:34.605 at the wheel of the #15. Nick Jones went fourth-quickest in the #66 Team Parker Mercedes, with the #32 Track Focused KTM and #58 HHC McLaren completing the top six.
