The #25 Audi Team WRT R8 LMS has taken the win at the 2019 Suzuka 10 Hours after a dominant run from Frederic Vervisch, Dries Vanthoor and Kelvin van der Linde.
After the Schnitzer and Walkenhorst BMWs led early on the race moved in Audi’s direction following concerted early pressure, and a big off for the Walkenhorst M6 GT3.
After moving to the lead, and following a stellar stint from Vervisch, the result never looked in doubt, the Audi coming home well clear of the #999 GruppeM Mann Filer AMG and the Absolute Racing Porsche.
A refuelling error cost Audi a likely 1/2 when the #125 Audi Sport Team Absolute Racing R8 lost a minute in their final scheduled stop with a fuel hose that refused to engage.
