The provisional entry list for next months FIA WEC 4 Hours of Shanghai has been released, and it features 31 cars, one more than the entry for the 6 Hours of Fuji last weekend.
The additional car for the trip to China is a previously announced third Proton-run Porsche. Proton Competition’s #78 911 RSR will run with Philippe Prette, Louis Prette and Vincent Abril (who will test a 911 RSR at the Bahrain Rookie Test in December).
Elsewhere the only other changes come in the form of driver changes and omissions.
In LMP1 the two Team LNT Ginetta G60-LT-P1s have no confirmed drivers. However, DSC expects no major surprises, though there will be a reshuffle as Chris Dyson is expected to make his season debut.
In LMP2 there are no changes from Fuji, though as revealed on DSC earlier this week, Frits van Eerd will be present, having previously announced that Job van Uitert would stand in for him. The Dutchman cited business commitments for his likely absence but has since found a way to make the trip.
Across the GTE classes, the only notable changes come in Am.
There are two TBAs in the #88 Dempsey Proton Porsche alongside Thomas Preining after Satoshi Hoshino and Adrien de Leener were present in Japan.
At Project 1 there is also a driver change in its #57 Porsche. Felipe Fraga has a clash with Brazillian Stock Car so won’t be able to race alongside Ben Keating and Jeroen Bleekemolen. Instead, Larry ten Voorde will drive in his place, the Dutchman a Porsche Carrera Cup regular who sits third in the Germany standings and second in Super Cup.
The 2019 4 Hours of Shanghai is set to run on November 10th.
