The official poster for the 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours has been revealed today (designed by Désigne x Pulp), as well as a change in start time for the race.
Next year’s Le Mans 24 Hours will start an hour later at 16:00 rather than the traditional 15:00 on Saturday 13th June. DSC understands that the change has been made to benefit the TV product for the race.
For the teams wishing to take part, the deadline for entry applications is 18th December 2019.
The 2020 running will be the final race of the LMP1 Hybrid era before the 2020/21 FIA WEC season begins featuring the new ‘Hypercar Prototype’ top class.
The 88th edition of the race also marks the 50th anniversary of Porsche’s first win (with the 917), the 20th anniversary of Audi’s first win and it will be 40 years since local driver Jean Rondeau became the first person to triumph as a driver/manufacturer.
