T2 Motorsports joins the Asian Le Mans Series for the coming 2019/20 season with a Ferrari 488 GT3 for Rio Haryanto and Christian Colombo.
Irmawan Poedjoadi, Team Principal of T2 Motorsports is keen to get the auto entry for the Le Mans 24 Hours for the first time for an Indonesian team:
“With our current team formation, we are pretty optimistic of a win in the GT class and to get the Le Mans 24 Hours ticket”
The Asian Le Mans Series will be the first endurance race for Rio Haryanto:
“I will compete in the Asian Le Mans Series, my first endurance race series. (Though Haryanto has raced in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia).
“I am very excited to participate in this competition and God willing we will be able to compete in the Le Mans 24 Hours”.
Although Rio Haryanto has never participated in an endurance race, he has experience in Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia which enables Rio to adapt with a GT3 car.
The T2 Ferrari joins a trio of other 488 GT3s already announced (from Car Guy, Spirit of Race and HubAuto), plus a pair of BMW M6 GT3s, an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and a Lamborghini Hurcan on the confirmed GT class entry with more still to come.
