Ginetta Cars brand new 2020 LMP3 car, the G61-LT-P3 will be seen in international racing next season with Ginetta reporting strong results in early development testing have already translated into significant sales for the new car.
The development Ginetta G61 has already completed over 2,000km of entirely trouble-free running at several tracks in the UK, with extensive testing planned for the coming months ahead of the start of the 2020 season.
The new Ginetta is one of four cars in a significantly upgraded new breed of LMP3 cars with more power, better aero, uprated safety package and traction control.
Testing has featured not only Ginetta Factory drivers but also other drivers with LMP3 race experience and test miles in rival 2020 LMP3s, and their feedback to customers has already seen significant car sales confirmed.
Ginetta announced that an initial production run of six cars would be built for delivery for the 2020 season but are now committing to further production to accommodate additional interest from a customer base for the G61 that includes, new, existing and returning teams in LMP3.
Current customer sales will be confirmed shortly but are understood to include almost all of the initial production run to several customers.
