Following the announcement of Jan Magnussen’s intention to race at the 2020 Le Mans 24 Hours with High Class Racing (pending a second entry being awarded to the team), High Class racing has revealed its full livery for the #20 and fan-focused plans for race week.
The team said in a statement that it has put plans in motion to bring several hundred Danish fans with it to Le Mans for the race weekend as part of a drive to ‘dress Le Mans in red and white’.
To help achieve this the team will also be giving away t shirts, flags, banners and other merchandise throughout the week to fans trackside, with help from its commercial backers.
“We are planning a Danish invasion of the Le Mans 24 Hours this year!” Says team manager Nikolaj Johansen.
“The passion that Danish fans show each year at the race is infectious, so we take a lot of pride in being able to represent them on an international stage. We want to add to the thousands of Danish fans that make the pilgrimage to Le Mans this year as part of our relationship with Jan Magnussen and drape the grandstands in Danish colours.
“The Le Mans 24 Hours is a really important sporting event for Denmark, and we hope that we can help ensure that the relationship between the people of Denmark and Le Mans continues with our plans for this year’s edition of the race.”
