The 4-hour test session on Wednesday Morning was red-flagged twice, the second significantly more serious than the first, involving an incident for Katherine Legge in the #50 Richard Mille Racing ORECA.
The car left the track at the right-hander after Signes and impacted the barrier front left corner first after heavy braking.
With the Armco badly damaged, and more significantly Katherine requiring a full extraction effort the session was first red-flagged and then curtailed approximately an hour early.
An initial statement from the ELMS confirmed that Katherine was conscious and is now in the Medical Centre.
The earlier interruption came after the #13 Inter Europol Ligier ground to a halt on its out-lap, Matin Hippe at the wheel, the car was recovered to the pits and rejoined the session later.
Fastest overall before the session was needed was Ben Hanley in the #21 DragonSpeed Oreca, 1:38.824, well clear of the #32 United Oreca with the Graff #39 and the 322 United car the others under 1:40
In LMP3 the #2 United Ligier again led the way, its third top slot in four sessions, 1:48.132, leading a train of JS P30s, RLR, RealTeam, the recovered Inter Europol and EuroInternational before the first Duqueine, this again the #2 Nielsen Racing car.
GT was headed for the first time by a Porsche, the #77 Dempsey Proton 911 RSR with a 1:52.099, half a second clear of the Kessel Ferrari with the #98 Aston Martin third fastest.
