The 10th edition of the Gulf 12 Hours will move from its regular December date to 9 January 2021 at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, another move necessitated by the changes to the 2020 Formula One calendar as well as the compression and late running of the European GT racing calendar.
The promoter plans to return to the December date in December 2021.
The promoter reports that the grid for the 10th edition on 9 January 2021 is already over-subscribed with space for GT3 cars at a premium. Race organisers will allocate one car per garage up to a maximum of 34 garages.
Registration applications have been received from 38 teams for a total of 61 cars with only GT3, GT4 and Lamborghini Super Trofeo cars now allowed to compete.
