Quick Report: United Autosports Retain 100% Record In Grandstand Finish

RealTeam Ligier takes last gasp LMP3 win, #55 Ferrari fuel-saves to first victory since 2018

The #22 United Autosports Oreca carried on their team’s winning streak to all three ELMS races this season (including the win here at Paul Ricard for the sister #32 car), and six LMP2 races in a row (including a hat trick of WEC wins too) taking the win at the Le Castellet 240 – the race completed in full darkness at Circuit Paul Ricard, Felipe Albuquerque chasing down Jean-Eric Vergne in the final stages of the race to pass him with 2 minutes of the 4-hour race remaining, Phil Hanson again sharing the spoils after an incident-packed race that at one point it seemed United had thrown away.

Vergne would bring the #26 Aurus home in second with Thomas Laurent anchoring the #39 Graff Oreca home to complete the podium.

The #8 RealTeam Ligier of Esteban Garcia and David Droux took the win in LMP3 in another tightly fought battle, getting by the #3 United Autosports Duncan Tappy for the lead in the final 10 minutes, the #13 InterEuropol Ligier completed the podium but could have won but for a late-race drive-through for contact.

Matt Griffin drive to a first win for the #55 Spirit of Face Ferrari he shares with Aaron Scott and Duncan Cameron for two years after a fantastic fuel-saving stint to the finish that saw off the attack from the #77 Proton Porsche with the #83 Iron Lynx ‘Iron Dames’ Ferrari completing the podium but feeling robbed by the timing of the final Safety Car costing them of a well-earned 30-second lead!
