Test Day Confirmed For 2021 Le Mans 24 Hours

But switch to Sunday before race week will see timetable changes as a result

Race week at the 2021 Le Mans 24 Hours looks set for a revamp with the confirmation that the Test Day is to return but on the Sunday preceding the race itself (6 June 2021).

After being cancelled this year in the wake of the COVID19 crisis, the change sees the Test move to form part of race week rather than, as has been the case for many years, the preceding weekend.

That’s likely to be principally as a part of the cost-cutting measures both for the ACO, and for the competing teams, but will require a re-jigging of the prior race week timetable the Sunday before the race having formed part of the two days of public scrutineering in central Le Mans for decades.

The 2021 Le Mans 24 Hours is set to take place on June 12-13.
