Dubai-based GPX Racing is the latest team to have publicly declared an entry for the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series.
The 2019 Spa 24 Hours-winning team are en-route back to their home base to prepare for a single-car entry for the 2021 Dubai 24 Hours and will then move on to Yas Marina Circuit where the team will enter a single Porsche 911 GT3 R in all four races of the 2021 Asian Le Mans Series.
GPX join a rapidly growing entry of LMP2, LMP3 and GT3 cars on the full season list with Absolute Racing, Rinaldi Racing, AF Corse (Formula Racing and Luzich Racing), TF Sport and D’Station Racing already having made public their plans to join the GT3 class entry and significant additional entries in the class still to come.
Asian Le Mans Series CEO Cyrille Taesch Wahlen confirmed to DSC last week that he believes the full-season entry for the 2021 Series will break the previous record with 30+ cars expected.
