A now traditional Christmas message after an extraordinary year.
Firstly, we hope you are all enjoying Christmas either together with, or close in spirit to, those you love and care about.
Secondly, a festive thank you to all that have kept the racing world we live in rolling through one of the most challenging times in living memory – your efforts, though often unsung, have been hugely valued.
Whether through involvement in a team, a Championship, in the media or, and in particular, as a volunteer – Thank you all.
Thirdly to those that haven’t been lucky enough to go back racing – on either side of the fence. Hang tough – and stay with the racing family – there are better times ahead.
To thèse we lost this year, you are missed and will be remembered, and to those that joined the family in this year of all years – trust us you ain’t seen nothing yet!
From Dave and I to all that contributed to DSC’s output, and in particular to Stephen Kilbey, Peter ‘Pedro’ May, RJ O’Connell and Ryan Kish, plus my partner in podcasting crime Marshall Pruett, and to my broadcasting colleges too. Thanks for keeping 2020 as normal as it could possibly be.
Normal service will be resumed they say, and it will, and probably sooner than we all currently imagine.
For now, let’s pause and enjoy a few days of celebratory respite before putting our shoulders to the wheel once again, a very Merry Christmas to all of you
