The second round of the 2021 European Le Mans Series moves to Red Bull Ring on 16 May, a returning venue for the Series that last visited Austria in 2018.
The Provisional entry lists 41 cars with 16 apiece in the LMP2 and LMP3 classes and a healthy 9 car entry in the GTE class.
There are no changes to the 16 car LMP2 entry from Barcelona though the SRT 41 ‘Innovative Car’ entry will rejoin the Series at round three at Paul Ricard.
There are though some driver changes to note, James Allen should return to the fray after missing the opening round in the #65 Panis Racing Oreca.
Logan Sargeant will step in to the #34 Racing Team Turkey Oreca as a replacement for Harry Tincknell, the Englishman double booked with an IMSA commitment, which means that the listing of Ricky Taylor in the #21 DragonSpeed car is incorrect, another significant name in sportscar racing is set to take the seat.
LMP3 again sees an unchanged 16 car entry from Barcelona but EuroInternational have reached into the FIA Driver Gradings cookie jar and pulled out Turkish gamer-to-racer Cem Bolukbasi as a Bronze-ranked driver, two Bronze drivers then allowing Joey Alders to return to the team after the squad were forced to bench the young Dutchman in Spain.
GTE sees the season debut of the #88 Ferrari for Francois Perrodo, Manu Collard and Alessio Rovera after the team was forced out in Spain due to positive COVID19 results for team members.
The provisional list confirms the arrival in the #77 Proton Competition Porsche of Cooper MacNeil alongside Christian Ried and Matt Campbell.
