Friday saw the official naming of Sabine Schmitz curve, the left turn onto the Nordschleife from the Nurburgring GP circuit. The unveiling of a new sign took place in the presence of her family, the curve located on the outskirts of Nürburg – there Sabine, born in Adenau, grew up.
The naming of the corner for the “Queen of the ‘Ring”, who passed away in march, has proved very popular with fans.
