The teams and drivers will score points for separate series titles. The best 4 results will count to obtain the 2013 GT4 Trophy team and drivers titles. There will also be an additional points table for the bronze categorised drivers.

The races confirmed and counting towards the 2013 GT4 Trophy are:

Silverstone – 19th May (with British GT)
Spa – 27th July (supporting the Spa 24hrs)
Anderstorp –  17th August (with Swedish GT)
Zandvoort –  13th October (with Dutch GT)
Plus one additional race to be announced in the New Year.

In addition to the new GT4 Trophy the class is set to be represented in an number of other races and series including the Dutch GT Championship where the GT4’s will continue for a 5th season.

Joining these will be a new SRO franchise next year with a Swedish GT4 series being agreed between SRO and the Leif Lindstrom promoter in Sweden. The signing of the contract will take place at the Autosport International show in Birmingham next month.

In addition to the established order several new models are set to race next season in the GT4 series with the Toyota 86GT, the Hyundai Genesis Coupé (evo on 2013 MY) and the Mazda MX5 (already seen in the British GT Championship and now awaiting final 2013 full homologation) all likely to be seen on the grids for next season.

In addition to today’s GT4 announcements, SRO Motorsport Group revealed today a technical agreement with the VLN/ADAC for the use of GT4 in the SP10 category with full technical ruling and Balance of Performance that follows the 2013 SRO GT4 regulations.

Avon Tyres will be the SRO tyre partner in GT4 throughout the 2014 season. The 2013 Balance of Performance tests will be held at Zandvoort on 6-8 March. Performances will be brought back to 2010 level in order to sustain reliability and reduce technical costs, particularly the development, spare parts and testing expenses.
