It may have been a bitterly cold morning in London today but the sight of a trio of sportscars assembled with an iconic backdrop drew plenty of media interest and plenty of passers by too as the teams from Silverstone and the WEC started their efforts to promote the season openers for the ELMS and FIA WEC in just three weeks time.
Strakka’s Honda LMP1 and an AMR Vantage GTE from the WEC were joined by one of RAM Racing’s new Ferrari 458s from the ELMS.
The RAC Tourist Trophy was on parade too together with Stephane Sarrazin, Nick Leventis, Danny Watts, Jonny Kane, Alex Brundle, John Martin and Darren Turner.
The media pack moved on from the icy photo all to the altogether more soothing surroundings of the RAC Club on Pall Mall where they were greeted by the incongruous sight of the Toyota TS030 in the main reception area. More tomorrow from the launch but for now here are some images from the morning.
