A Parting Of The Ways With MTECH?
The entry list for this weekend’s International GT Open round at Portimao reveals the rather surprising detail that Duncan Cameron and Matt Griffin will be racing a Super GT class Ferrari 458 Italia entered by AF Corse, while the MTECH Ferrari currently has two ‘tbn’s next to it.
Griffin has been an AF Corse regular for several seasons, but Cameron has always raced with MTECH. This news, together with the sudden non-appearance of the #21 MTECH 458 GT3 at the recent Rockingham British GT round, strongly suggests that there has been a parting of the ways between Cameron and the team.
When asked for confirmation, MTECH Team Principal Mike Edmonds told DSC, “At this stage, we can only confirm that Duncan Cameron and Matt Griffin will be running at Portimão with AF Corse, in an AF Corse car.”
