On what has been a devastating day for the world of endurance racing we are extremely upset not to have been able to keep our readers up to date with the events from here at the track in anything like an acceptable fashion.
To explain – since half an hour before the start of the race Internet connectivity at Le Mans has been sporadic at best, and non existent for extended periods of time.
The staff here in the Media Centre have been battling hard to help us to do the job that we are here to do, sadly until now with limited success.
We are, unless and until matters improve, abandoning our live coverage with the race ticker and/or Twitter and will instead seek to update the website with regular reports as and when connectivity allows.
Please bear with us as we struggle with the clearly inadequate infrastructure.
