A postscript to the ELMS calendar announcement makes it clear that there are likely to be changes to the provisional 2014 FIA WEC calendar announced only last week.
“Due to the recent changes in the Formula One calendar, the dates announced for the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship last week at the Circuit of the Americas, Texas, may be subject to modification. However the venues and the order of the races announced last week will remain unchanged. A further announcement will be made in due course.”
There are now two direct clashes with the provisional Formula One Calendar with the COTA race clashing with the Singapore Grand Prix on 21 September and the Fuji round clashing with the Japanese GP at Suzuka on 12 October.
