News this afternoon that Markus Palttala is the latest big name to be called up in what might turn out to be something of a arms race in GTE Am.
The flying Finn is set to be added to line-up aboard the IMSA Performance Porsche alongside the car’s usual duo of Jean Karl Vernay and Raymond Narac as the temperature begins to rise in the class after post Austin rule changes and reshuffled driver line-ups in response already confirmed at AMR.
It marks Markus’s return to WEC action after spending the season thus far with the Marc VDS team on Blancpain Endurance Series and VLN duties.
