The provisional entry list for the upcoming Gulf 12 Hours has seen quite a major revision – almost entirely in the GT3 class – as deals are made and others fall through. The list sees 15 cars that appeared on the previous list issued in September no longer appearing (representing Vita4One, United Autosports, Swiss Team, 888Optimum, AF Corse, ASM, Autorlando, Boutsen Ginion, Barwell and SMP Racing), while six new entries from MRS Molitor, Dragonspeed, GT Pro by Almeras, Gulf Racing and Team rhino’s Leipert are added. There is only one other amendment on the list, with the Barwell Vantage disappearing from the GT4 (now GTX) entry.
But while the 888Optimum BMW Z4 GT3 will not be appearing, regular drivers Lee Mowle and Joe Osborne will be joining British GT GT4 co-champion Ryan Ratcliffe in the Optimum Ginetta G50 that carried the young Welshman and Rick Parfitt Jr to the title. The three also raced together in this year’s Dubai 24.
