DSC is saddened to learn of the death of Italian historic racer Mauro Pane in a road crash earlier this month. The 50 year old was active mainly in Historic F1, winning the Historic Formula One Championship in 2008, but also competed in the Group C Racing series in 2013 in a Lancia LC2.
Like Sean Edwards, Pane was also involved in the making of the film ‘Rush’ when he drove Niki Lauda’s Ferrari in the racing scenes in place of actor Daniel Bruhl.
