Porsche’s test programme continues apace with the new 919 Hybrid LMP1 car
The team spent a full 3 days in Bahrain in mid February with day and night testing on the agenda, local sources confirming that the night test was conducted in full darkness with the forest of F1 inspired circuit lighting switched off.
The latest 2014 development chassis was apparently in use, though sources close to the programme still maintain that there are major changes to come before the final car is seen.
This was believed to be the final major endurance test for the car before testing at Sebring in early March (likely alongside new rivals Audi!!)
