There will be a duo of additional cars on the grid for this weekend’s Blancpain Sprint outing at Zandvoort.
ADAC GT Masters regulars Tonino Team Herberth Motorsport enters a Porsche 997R GT3 for the Dutch-German duo of Jaap Van Lagen-Robert Renauer, while the BMW Sports Trophy Team Schubert joins the Blancpain Sprint Series with a car for Austrian youngsters Dominik Baumann and Thomas Jäger.
The Schubert duo will contest the remainder of the 2014 Series.

“We already started working on getting involved in the Blancpain Sprint Series in the winter. However, we were initially unable to implement the project due to issues with timing and budget. Now the six-month programme in this new series suits us perfectly. The same is true for Thomas Jäger, which is why we are all looking forward to the coming months.”
Thomas Jäger:
“Last year I realised that to get to the top of formula racing you need a lot of money. This is why I decided to change paths. Motorsport isn’t restricted to Formula 1, there are plenty of other options. All of the major manufacturers are involved in GT sport and they offer excellent opportunities to young drivers like me. I had many offers of a cockpit for this year, but I chose BMW because I grew up with this brand. I’m delighted that it has worked out with Team Schubert.”
Peter Kox replaces Tomas Enge in the Reiter Lamborghini alongside Stefano Rosina .
However, Alex Zanardi and his ROAL Motorsport BMW will be absent in Zandvoort, because of a clashing commitment with the Italian’s handcycling racing programme.
