Following on from solid performances by both the team’s GT4 and GT3 cars at the Snetterton rounds of the 2014 British GT Championship, Beechdean AMR are aiming to tackle the ‘away’ fixture of the Championship at Belgiium’s famous Spa Francorchamps circuit this weekend.
The 2 x 1 hour race weekend will provide high drama as the Championship fight for both classes hot’s up. The ice cream team currently are leading both Championships and look forward to the challenge of the 4.3 mile grand prix circuit Spa Francorchamps.
Reining British GT Champion Andrew Howard said:
“This is the round everyone is looking forward to. “Spa is just an incredible circuit and the Aston should suit the high speed corners. The Championship is going well but we have a 15 second extra pit stop in race 1 because of the Snetterton victory. The goal is to score good points in both GT3 and GT4 categories and continue to show the speed and consistency we have.”
Aston Martin Racing factory driver Jonny Adam added:
“The championship bid is going very well but Spa will be a real challenge. The circuit is one of my favourites and the car performed well last season at the Blancpain 24 Hour race. We have work to do in race 1 with the extra pit stop time but we are confident going into this weekend.”
