The final race of the 2014 Avon Tyres British GT Championship takes place this weekend at Donington Park, with both the GT3 and GT4 titles still to be decided. The two-hour event is likely to again be a memorable encounter, but who will emerge triumphant?

The strong favourites for the GT4 crown are the Beechdean AMR duo of Ross Wylie and Jake Giddings, who enjoy a 29.5 point lead after winning at Brands Hatch, their third visit to the top step this year. Ross and Jake have been our guides round the virtual versions of the British GT tracks all season, via the Base Performance simulator, and it’s Ross who will be showing us how to drive the Leicestershire circuit.

The Scottish half of the Beechdean partnership was naturally delighted with his win a fortnight ago, and was keen to acknowledge the contribution of his time spent at BPS; “The Brands Hatch GP Circuit is fantastic to drive, high speed with a lot of elevation changes and no room for error, but that just adds to the excitement. Jake and I prepared ourselves the best we could by using the Sim at Base Performance and certainly believe that this played a massive part in our success at the weekend”.

Time is available on Base’s GT Sim at all times of the day, with engineering support and driver coaching available too, at rates that will bring a smile to your face.
