Mercedes Benz unveiled their new AMG GT earlier this week.
As covered here in July this is the car that is set to provide the platform for the replacement for the current AMG SLS for the company’s next GT3 race car.
Overall the car is significantly smaller than the current car, the gulling doors are dispensed with for the new car and the power plant for the road car, and for its future racing sisters is a brand new M178 4 litre twin turbo V8, producing 510 hp in the top spec GT S road car with 650 Nm of torque between 1,750 and 4,750 rpm.
