1345: Positions are as they were at the last update for hour 2, save Joe Osborne in the MP Aston having got ahead of the #7 Bentley of Guy Smith for eigth. Second round of pit stops expected soon, which will be driver changes all round.

1348: The Leonard Motorsport Aston Martin and the #18 Black Falcon Mercedes are among the first to stop.

1350: Verdonck pits the #84 Mercedes and hands over to Bernd Schneider. Meanwhile, the team manager of the Pro-Am championship-leading #90 Ferrari has been summoned to race control. Is a penalty imminent?

1352: Buhk hands the #85 Mercedes to Dusseldorp, while Ramos stays at the wheel of the #1 Audi, having only got in at the first stops. Meanwhile, Schneider outbrakes himself and runs very wide at T1 in the #84, but keeps it out of the wall and rejoins.

1354: Race leader Buncome is in the pits after his mega stint in the #80 Nissan. Florian Strauss takes over and the car gets fresh tyres, too. Meanwhile Hubert Haupt is in for Simonsen in the #19 Mercedes, while Korjus has remained in the #99 McLaren.

1357: Dusseldorp and Schneider are now 1-2 in the HTP cars, while Strauss loses a position on track to Ramos’ Audi, putting him fourth in the #80 Nissan. Korjus and Haupt are fifth and sixth, while Stefano Gai has taken over the #90 from Rizzoli and runs seventh overall, but has just been given a drive-through for overaking under yellows – potentially affecting the Pro-Am title outcome.

1400: Schneider manages to get ahead of Dusseldorp as the two cars tussle with the lapped #7 Bentley of Andy Meyrick. Ramos remains third, which will be sufficient to give Vanthoor the overall drivers’ title as long as things stay as they are. With his closest rivals the #26 Audi effectively retired and the #7 Bentley a lap down, Vanthoor is looking very good to take the 2014 BES title solo.

1415: Michela Cerruti is being towed off the track in the #43 ROAL Motorsport BMW after a very forgettable race for the Italian team. It seems there was contact between their car and the #49 AF Corse Ferrari at T1.

1417: A drive-through for the #22 Team Parker Audi for speeding in the pitlane. They were running 20th overall and second in the Gentlemen Trophy behind the #41 Sport Garage Ferrari.

1422: Another pit-lane speeding penalty, this time for the #25 Sainteloc Audi.

1427: Alex Premat in the gravel in the #98 McLaren – a miserable race so far for the winners of the season’s first race in Monza, here running 38th and last. And there’s also a brief off for the #7 Bentley in the hands of Andy Meyrick, who rejoins 12th overall.

1432: Strauss has dropped to sixth in the #80 Nissan. The front runners as we approach the half-way point of the race are Schneider, then a 10-second gap to Dusseldorp, then an 11-second gap to Ramos. Korjus is fourth, 34 seconds behind Ramos and ahead of fifth-place Haupt.

1436: Abra (#38 Aston) and Catsburg (#12 BMW) are second and third in Pro-Am. Despite their drive-through penalty, Gai and Rizzoli are still on course to take the class title, running fifth in the category and 10th overall.

1438: A couple of spins, and the safety car is deployed to as the #16 Boutsen McLaren goes off at T9.
