Chrysler Pulls Viper GTLM Programme

Chrysler Group LLC has announced the end of the Factory SRT Viper programme that concluded the 2014 season at Petit Le Mans by securing both the teams and drivers titles in the GTLM class with Kuno Wittmer and the with the Dodge Viper SRT GTS-R. SRT finished second in the Manufacturers title standings.

The cessation of the GTLM programme after just a two year life will be a blow to IMSA’s Tudor United SportsCar Championship with the Dodge Viper SRT GTS-R GTLM-class team. The Dodge brand will redirect its focus and efforts on the brand’s product lineup.

The programme produced a total of three class wins – One in the 2013 American Le Mans Series at Road America, and two this season in TUSCC at Indianapolis and COTA
