One of the missing pieces in next year’s Calendar jigsaw is the 2015 Blancpain Sprint Series.
With the Blancpain Endurance Series announced during the Spa 24 Hours weekend there has clearly been a factor or two delaying final confirmation of the sister Series plans.
DSC can now confirm that the calendar should be published next weekend during the Baku finale for the 2014 Series, and that the major factor preventing the final confirmation of the 2015 Calendar thus far has been ongoing negotiations with city authorities in Moscow about a proposed street race in the Russian Capital.
The race is proposed to take place in July next year but is still at present unconfirmed though formal presentation documents are understood to have been circulated to the teams and manufacturers with confirmed or potential interest in the 2015 Series.
