Kelly Moss To PWC
Kelly Moss Motorsports is looking for funded drivers to compete for a full season of the GT Cup Championship in the Pirelli World Challenge in 2015.
2014 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama Platinum Cup champion Colin Thompson will lead the Kelly Moss effort in PWC in 2015 in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car.
“We were looking to continue our relationship and development of Colin,” Stone said. “This was the next logical step for him in the U.S. before the Carrera Cup.”
The championship-caliber team seeks to fill the remaining two seats in its trio of Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars with funded drivers.
“We want like-minded people that are looking to compete for championships, whether that’s young drivers that want to develop their craft or gentleman drivers looking for a top-quality experience,” Stone said. “We are looking to make it cost effective for everyone.”
The team also will continue to keep a primary focus in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama series.
“GT3 will be a primary series for us,” Kelly Moss Vice President Jeff Stone said. “But Pirelli World Challenge offers a unique opportunity for us. We have the capacity and staff to make it work and make it so that we are competing for championships in both series.”
Kelly Moss has run some of the most advanced vehicles for the most prominent drivers in the world and will continue the trend in PWC in 2015. The team knows its cars down to the smallest detail, adding up to a significant advantage.
“There are some differences from GT3 Cup like the standing starts, which I’m a big proponent of, and the street courses, but that wont change our take or how we approach the setup of the car,” Stone said. “We expect to compete; those things just make it a little more interesting.”
“We’ve ran on every single one of these tracks and love all of them,” Stone said. “I feel like we are uniquely positioned to compete from the start.”

Haselgrove Appointed as New Director of Competition
Ex Chief Engineer for Audi Sport Customer Racing in North America and with huge sportscar experience courtesy of roles with (amongst others) Champion Racing Audi, Autohaus Motorsports, B-K Motorsport, APR Motorsports and Luxury Racing, Marcus Haselgrove has been appointed as the new Director of Competition for Pirelli World Challenge replacing Geoff Carter in the role.
“I am very excited to represent Pirelli World Challenge’s competitions department in this new chapter.” said Haselgrove. “The Series growth has a lot to do with the way they embrace manufacturers. While Audi pushed hard for GT3 acceptance, the Series openness with the manufacturers, metrics, and BoP is something I will grow across all the classes. I would like to also thank Brad Kettler, Audi Sport Customer Racing North America, and the entire Audi family, for the opportunity to have worked with them.”
