GRT Grasser Racing Team, Lamborghini Huracan GT3
The only all-new GT3 car confirmed for the full season, there’s a lot of interest here in the new Lamborghini factory developed Huracan and it is a handsome beast, very different from Hans Reiter’s Gallardo Extenso.
The two day test here is added to some 7000kms of testing already completed with Team Principal Gottfried Grasser confirming that all six full season drivers are here sharing the single car at the test.
“It’s gone very well, very smoothly and with no issues at all.”
This is a car that Lamborghini have grand plans for, the core of a factory blessed customer programme far beyond the current 2015 Blancpain plans.
Reiter Engineering, Lamborghini Gallardo R-EX Extenso, Sareni Camaro GT3
There are four cars in the Reiter garage, but as yet no confirmed Blancpain Endurance programme.
As confirmed on DSC over the weekend Albert Thurn und Taxis is set to contest the full Blancpain Sprint Series in a new Lamborghini Gallardo R-EX Extenso.
The team are here though with a pair of very handsome Extensos, plus a solo Sareni Camaro GT3 and, under cover today but in action yesterday on track, a Lamborghini Aventador GT1, the old(er) warhorse driven by Peter Kox “It was wonderful!” and Stephane Ratel.
Kox is on driving duty today too in the Extenso together with Tomas Enge (Sareni Camaro) and Reiter customer Bernhard Muller as the team work to finalise more potential race programmes.
The Camaro attended the BoP test as it has had an evolution to give the big Chevy more downforce, Tomas Enge, now a full-time Reiter employee, saying that the change was a very positive one, the Camaro adding more competitive performance to its clear price advantage over much of the competition in GT3.
