An exciting addition to the early season plans for the new Audi R8 LMS is that the car is now set to compete in two early season Blancpain Endurance Series races in addition to the already confirmed Spa and Nurburgring 24 Hours plus VLN 1 & 2.
Audi Customer Racing chief Romolo Liebchen confirmed to DSC today that two new specification cars are set to contest the season opener at Monza with four cars likely for the 1000km race at Paul Ricard in advance of the Spa 24 Hours.
The cars are to be split evenly between partner teams Phoenix and W Racing Team with an identical entry expected for the opening VLN encounters.
