The heavy rain has continued over Spa since the Warm Up session. According to local weather forecasts there will be showers until the race starts, which could make the opening hours of the race very tricky for the drivers. There are chances of further rain as the race wears on too.

A handful of penalties have been handed out this morning which will effect the grid. The #53 AF Corse Ferrari which had an engine change overnight will start at the back of the grid for the race. Michele Rugolo had originally put the car 29th on the grid with a lap of 2:19.619.

Both Grasser Racing Lamborghinis (#19 & #63) have been put to the back of the grid for engine changes also. DSC tried to find out more, but the team has declined to allow media into its garage during this event.

And finally the #10 AKKA ASP Ferrari has been given a 10-place grid penalty for a yellow flag infringement during the Warm Up while Jean-Philippe Belloc was driving. This means the car will start 46th with the sanction applied.
