A brief text message received by the DSC Ed this morning relates the tale that Alex Kapadia will be on the grid for the Bathurst 12 Hours in the Mishumotors Mercedes Benz SLS.
The British driver was about to leave for the airport from a holiday at Bondi Beach when he got a message from Mirco Schultis, the German driver, “rather astonishingly, Mirco was sitting in a cafe around the corner. I went over and met him and I’m now on the way to the Blue Mountains not the airport home!”
Kapadia joins Renge van de Zande and Patrick Simon along with Schultis for this weekend’s race.
