Frikadelli Racing Team Owner Klaus Abbelen has responded angrily to the release yesterday of the SP9 (GT3) Balance of Performance for the 2016 Nurburgring 24 Hours and has announced on Twitter that the team has withdrawn his 2016 spec Porsche 911 GT3 R from the race, and from VLN competition in protest.
There are no firm details of the precise reason for his protest, and the details of the Balance of Performance decision are not yet in the public domain.
There are no details either as yet of any appeal against the current BoP with the rule book allowing amendments up to and including race morning.
