Ram Racing’s Mercedes AMG GT3 has undergone a change of livery and driver lineup ahead of its 24 Hours of Paul Ricard title defense this weekend.
In collaboration with Monaco resident and ROFGO collection owner Roald Goethe, the car will sport a Gulf livery and have some ROFGO Racing drivers at the wheel. WEC GTE Am class winners Stuart Hall and Jamie Cambell Walter will share the car with Goethe and Dan Brown in the race.
This will be the first time that the WEC-winning trio has raced together since the 2015 Dubai 24 Hours, however, Goethe and Hall have memories of much more recent success after taking an ELMS podium at Silverstone in April this year.
“I think we have a strong lineup,” Hall commented. “We have four fantastic drivers but, more importantly than that, we are all best mates. To get a podium together at Paul Ricard, one of the most iconic race tracks in the world, would be incredible.”
RAM Racing took the 24 Hours of Paul Ricard race win in 2015 and eventually went on to win the GT3 class title. Although a championship win is out of the question this season, following mechanical issues at Dubai 24 Hours and Mugello 12 Hours and an incident at Zandvoort 12 Hours, the team is still extremely motivated to defend its crown at the French twice-around-the-clock race.
The 24 Hours of Paul Ricard starts at 14.30 on Saturday 16 July and will be streamed at www.24hseries.com with commentary available on radiolemans.com.
