Olivier Pla continued the Michael Shank Racing domination of the sessions so far at Road Atlanta by putting the #60 Ligier Honda on a convincing pole position for tomorrow’s Petit Le Mans.
Pla’s lap of 1:13.061 saw him hold a near half second advantage over Tristan Nunez in the #55 Mazda.
Row two sees the first of the DPs, the Championship leading #31 Action Express Corvette DP in the hands of Dane Cameron, eight tenths astray with Tom Long completing the top four in the #70 Mazda.

Robert Alon edged out a last gasp effort from Alex Popow to put the #52 PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports Oreca FLM09 on class pole for Petit Le Mans tomorrow at Road Atlanta.
Alon’s 1:16.411 beat off Popow’s best shot by just half a tenth, with Johnny Mowlem putting the #20 BAR1 Motorsports entry third in class, just 25 thousandths behind Popow and Kenton Koch completing the second row in the #38 Performance Tech car a further 0.145 of a second behind, the top four separated by just over two tenths of a second.
