2017 PWC Calendar Revealed

VIR added

WC Vision has announced its 11-weekend racing schedule for the 2017 Pirelli World Challenge Championship, which includes 11 rounds and features a new destination: Virginia International Raceway.

Other changes include the round at Circuit of The Americas moving to Labour Day weekend in September after acting as the opener in recent years. Also, after the finale at Laguna Seca this season featured just one GT race, it will host two in 2017; the weekend at Long Beach will feature just one 50-minute sprint instead.

“After a successful 2016 season including 127 entries in the season finale last weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, we are pleased with the 2017 Pirelli World Challenge schedule,” said Greg Gill, president and CEO of WC Vision.

“There are a few remaining contracts and venue details to be worked out. We will work through those details in the coming days.”
