It was Audi to the top of the times in the final Free Practice session of the meeting before qualifying gets underway at 13:30 local. Oliver Jarvis put the #8 car on top early in the session with a 1:44.505 with the leading Toyota (the #6 in the hands of Stephane Sarrazin) and the #2 Porsche (Romain Dumas) within half a second.
The grip levels again looked low with a number of cars caught out, and a number of drivers executing major saves, during the session!
The #13 Rebellion took the fastest time in the LMP1 Privateer session 1:50.748
LMP2 saw Nicolas Lapierre lead the order with a lap in 1:54.355 in the #36 Signatech Alpine ahead of the #30 ESM and #43 RGR Ligiers (Tom Blomqvist and Bruno Senna).
GTE Pro saw the #77 Porsche fastest early on before, in turn the Ferraris, #67 Ford, Aston Martins, and in the final part of the session the #66 Ford of Olivier Pla took a turn.
Pla’s best took a substantial chunk out of the best efforts of the rest of the field, the only man into the 2:01s (2:01.324) with the #97 and #95 Aston Martins next up.
GTE Am saw a late introduction to the session from the fastest car in FP2, the #88 Abu Dhabi Proton Porsche team finishing an overnight engine change.
Pedro Lamy topped GTE Am in the #98 Aston Martin, a 2:03.845three tenths up on the time set by Manu Collard in the #83 AF Corse Ferrari with Ricky Taylor putting the #50 Larbre Corvette third.
