JDC-Miller Motorsports have begun pre season preparations with their brand new Oreca 07 Gibson P2 car ahead of the 2017 IMSA season.
The 2017 campaign sees the team step up from the PC class for the first time as they join a gaggle of other hopefuls in the new 2017 P2 machinery, going head to head with factory-backed Dpi efforts from Cadillac and Mazda, privately funded Nissan DPis from Extreme Speed Motorsports and fellow Gibson engined contenders from PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports (Ligier JS P217-Gibson), Starworks Motorsport (Riley Mk 30-Gibson) and Visit Florida Racing (Riley Mk 30-Gibson).
The new Oreca is now stateside after a shakedown in the hands of Manu Collard at Paul Ricard, Collard himself bound for a 2017 P2 effort, in the WEC with TDS Racing and their Oreca 07.
The JDC Miller crew will not be seen testing publicly until January’s ‘Roar before the Rolex 24 Hours’ but will get plenty of behind closed doors opportunity to get up to speed with their new car.
