Rik Breukers To Drive For ARC At Le Mans

Le Mans debut beckons for the Dutch teenager

18-year-old Rik Breukers is set to make his Le Mans 24 Hours debut, driving the #49 ARC Bratislava Ligier JSP2 17 at this year’s race as part of the LMP2 class.

“Driving in the Le Mans 24 Hours has always has been my ultimate goal,” the Dutchman said. “It’s the pinnacle of endurance racing and I hope my experience in LMP3 and the Ginetta G57 will help me to get accustomed quickly to the new LMP2 car.

“The team have planned some days of testing some testing in Monza and at the Slowakia ring. However, car is not ready yet and the team is waiting for the delivery of the brand new Ligier LMP2.

“My goal is to gather as much as experience and to do the best job for the team as possible.”

Despite still being a teenager, Breukers has a plethora of experience racing in the endurance discipline in the 24H Series and as part of the Lamborghini Young Driver programme.

At Le Mans he will race alongside Konstatins Calko and Miro Konopka in the Michelin-shod LMP2 car.
