The #26 G-Drive Racing ORECA Gibson has lost its Nürburgring pole position after failing post-qualifying scrutineering.
The car, which set Pole after laps from Pierre Thiriet and Ben Hanley was found post session to have a skid block where the front part “deflects more than 5 mm”.
All qualifying times for the car have been cancelled with Race Stewards giving permission for the car, which already has a 3 minute stop and hold penalty hanging over it, to start from the back of the grid.
That promotes the Championship leading #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca Gibson to class pole and fifth fastest overall, with the #31 Vaillante Rebellion ORECA now set to start alongside the #38, second in class.
